Why Give to the Veterans Program?
Our generous and caring community of donors helps honour and give back to the people who served our country. The Veterans Comfort Fund enhances their quality of life through events, experiences and innovative equipment.
Each year on Remembrance Day, Veterans at Sunnybrook are welcomed by a stunning display of over 30,000 flags, including artwork by Indigenous artist Philip Cote honoring First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Veterans, made possible by our Operation Raise a Flag campaign.
We are also proud to have refurbished Sunnybrook’s Cenotaph, beautifully restored and rededicated for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. This memorial honors Canadians who served in major conflicts, providing a serene space for remembrance.
With support from generous donors, provincial and federal partners Sunnybrook’s Veterans Program delivers exceptional care and meaningful experiences for those who have sacrificed for our country.
