Why Give to the Holland Bone and Joint Program?

Sunnybrook’s Holland Bone and Joint Program is a North American leader in musculoskeletal care, research, and education, tackling complex injuries, degenerative joint disease, rheumatology, and the need for specialized care and rehabilitation due to trauma and sports-related injuries. Our commitment to minimally invasive techniques allows patients to mobilize within hours of surgery, often reducing hospital stays from a week to just one day.

Since becoming the first in Canada to perform minimally invasive joint replacement (arthroplasty), Sunnybrook’s Holland Bone and Joint Program has grown into Canada’s largest joint replacement centre.

The generosity of our donors has powered great strides in joint replacement care. We established Canada’s first central intake and rapid access model, training over 100 Advanced Practice Practitioners to identify the best candidates for surgery.

Our teams are leveraging privacy-secure software to record surgical procedures, enhancing training and refining the skills of experts to set new standards in precision and care. Small cameras in the operating room capture audio, video, patient vitals, and X-ray imaging, thanks to support from Wyss Medical Foundation.
